Upon arrival passengers are greated by the oyster farm team who provide an overview of the facility, the oyster growing process and a presentation of the operations performed to raise oysters from the width of a thumbnail to market size. A tidal pool full of local marine life allow visitors to easily view animals that are regularly seen in the local Southeast, Alaska waters.
While Bonfire Bay packages this tour for cruise ship passengers, it is also available to independent travelers and locals. Locals can skip the van ride portion of the tour while meeting at a designated pier or pickup location north of Knudson Cove Marina.
